I don’t really see support for short tiny skinny men with zero muscle tone or fat or bulk or much of anything. We aren’t that common but we’re here.
Really I can’t think of any mainstream actors or celebrities like that. Small men aren’t considered handsome or masculine enough and don’t get shown on screen unless they’re portraying a child or teenager.
Which is messed up becayse tiny guys are rad and handsome and manly and I think you all look amazing. Just because you aren’t filled out or tall or buff doesn’t mean you’re less of a man.
I don’t remember who I follow who writes fic who HASN’T gotten an ask today. But to all of you who haven’t got one, Happy Fanfic Writer Appreciation Day.
I know it feels like you don’t get the recognition others get. And I know how bad it can make you feel about your writing. I don’t have any advice because I feel it too and it sucks.
But your writing makes a difference. And remember that with every fic your writing gets better. And I can almost guarantee you at least one person has read your fic enjoyed it.
To people who read fic, please leave kudos. Even if you didn’t absolutely love it. And if you did love it, leave a comment if you can. It means the world to us.
To every fanfic author who may not receive a thank you today or message in their inbox, to every author who doesn’t receive kudos or comments on their fics, to the author who doesn’t receive notes on tumblr or maybe only a few, to the author who is unsure about their writing and too afraid to post online, to the authors who are only authors in their minds and have yet to write a single word, to every author who is too tired to write right now, to the authors who are just too tired to update their fics, to the fanfic author aspiring to be published, to the fanfic authors who may not receive fan art of their work or may not be considered popular:
