Maybe consider seeing a psychologist instead? They aren’t able to give out prescriptions (afaik) and are more focused on helping you deal with issues rather than just giving you medicine. I think they also tend to be a bit cheaper but I don’t live in America so I couldn’t be 100% sure what it’s like, I just know that psychologists can’t give pills so they might be more what you’re looking for.
I do need pills though unfortunately. I just wish I could find a psychiatrist that could give me my prescriptions and talk to me AND acknowledge my issues and listen to me but as far as I know there isn’t one that exists anywhere near me
