Why is straight the default? #LOVESIMON is in theaters March 16th.

The notes on this ad are fucking disgusting tbfh. Humans as a species would not have adapted to become gay or bi for no reason. It’s an adaptation that helps keep the population alive because same gender couples who cannot sexually reproduce (not counting sg couples where one is trans) can adopt orphaned kids. Same with infertility. It’s a means of preventing overpopulation AND providing parents to orphaned children. We, as a species, do not need to have children right at this moment. There is an overwhelming amount of children in foster care and orphanages who NEED parents, whether those parents are sg parents or parents who cannot reproduce. So the “majority” is straight (which I doubt, because bisexuality is a thing and so is internalized homophobia, which prevents people from even acknowledging that they aren’t straight), but that doesn’t make it the default and you shouldn’t assume that your kid isn’t lgbt. All you angry straights can fuck off.

Yeah heads up you guys if you decide to look through the notes of the Love Simon ads, be prepared for a lot of homophobia. Lots of people to block unfortunately.
