i know it’s early and no ones awake but i’m gonna ask anyway

would it be better for my character to walk into an empty bookstore, with no one else but the cashier (who is another central character that i would introduce at this point)

OR have him walk into the same bookstore but crowded, and get the chance to introduce a bunch of different characters at once

the first gives time for introspection and tidbits about the character, the second gives less detailed information through dialogue (which is always more fun to read)

i’m leaning toward the second even though I have the first option all written out rip in peace
