Credit to the wonderful Problem that felt inspired enough to put out this fantastic writing!

“Dipper!” Bill roared, voice multitoned and incensed above the crackle of lightning and the roaring of the wind. In front of him Dipper shuddered, book still half open in his hands and symbols glowing down his body and around the forest. The demon was disappearing, his humanized body being ripped apart block by block and vanishing in screams of light that flashed too bright and too loud and felt so utterly wrong that Dipper wanted to throw up. “What did you do?!” The demon screeched hand clawing towards him. It grabbed the teen’s throat and claws dug into his skin. Dipper cried out in pain, the sound wet and choked, book falling as his finger’s tugged uselessly at Bill’s hand.

longest fic I ever read was by hollyhark, some 120+ words, I spent FIVE SOLID HOURS crying my eyes out buhhhh

I’ve written about 4 million words of fanfiction since 2000. (not exaggerating – 3 million+ are on AO3 alone!) I wrote a bit before that, too, and getting an AOL ACCOUNT and a modem at home was a huge deal to me at 17 (in 1999….) because I could suddenly share my writing with actual people and get instant feedback!! It still feels like a kind of miracle, especially now that you can download fics easily from AO3. I love the idea of someone being able to read my fics on their phone or Kindle or whatever on the subway, during their commute. It’s really this kind of magical thing that even 17 year old me would have found hard to believe  ;__;
